What’s Shakin’

Well, we are finishing up our term as Presidents.  We want to thank everyone who has pitched in to help with the club this year, especially our officers, Glenn & Judy Wallace, our Secretary Ronda Henderson, our Treasurer, Shirley Overton and our Asst. Treasurers and Past Presidents, Karen & Rick Everts.  Their help has been invaluable and we can't thank them enough for their hard work.

We recently elected our new Officers for next year: Presidents, Glenn & Judy Wallace, Vice Presidents, Rick & Karen Everts, Secretary, Ronda Henderson, and Treasurer, Eloisa Garza.  They will officially take office on September 1, 2007.  We wish them the best of luck and hope that all of you will support them and the club this next year.

As you look through the rest of this site, you will notice that it is going to be a busy summer.  Please, check the schedule page and try to attend some or all of the upcoming events.  Our club will only continue through the support of our members. 

Thanks for your support over the past two years and we hope to see all of you throughout the summer and into the next dance season.

Once again we will be dancing throughout the summer at Hummel Park on Monday nights.  We will start at 7:00 p.m. and go until dark, or everyone wears out, or the mosquitoes get the better of us; whichever comes first. For the complete schedule...Click Here.

We will be having our 6th Annual Club Campout on August 10-11-12, 2007 at Hidden Paradise Campground in St. Paul, IN.  There will be dancing on Friday and Saturday night, Campfire Pizza on Friday after the dance; Pancakes Saturday morning, a Euchre Tournament on Saturday afternoon, a Pitch-In dinner on Saturday, a Weiner Roast Saturday after the dance and Biscuits & Gravy on Sunday morning.  It's a fun filled weekend with a lot of activities.  You can come and camp or if you're not inclined to camp, come join us for the meals and dancing.  Reservations can be made with Rick & Karen Everts (765-246-6428) by July 18, 2007.  For more information...Click Here.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

The Quakertown Shakers will sponsor an evening of dancing at the Indiana State Fair on Monday, August 13, 2007.  We will start at approximately 7:00 p.m. and dance until about 8:30 p.m.  Nick Hartley will have FREE tickets for us soon (watch this site for more information).  This is a great way to promote our club and it's activities.  Come and join us.
